The Evening Standard: Helping London reach net zero

As the carbon countdown clock ticks on, cities must be bolder, more imaginative and more collaborative, a lively round table hosted in Newham by E.ON and the Evening Standard heard.

β€œNet zero is around the corner,” said Mike Wake, director of city energy solutions and generation at E.ON. The UK has cut emissions by 40 per cent to date – mostly through the growth of large renewable generation on the grid – but further cuts will be needed closer to home as London grapples with new ways of using and sharing energy.
